Forgive the Mess

stress by bottled_void

Isn’t that so much like life? We make excuses, buy things and tell people “I’m good” when asked how we are doing. But really, we’re just a big hit mess.

When you are out of your comfort zone, how do you handle it? I believe how we react during these times defines our character and destiny. These experiences are shaping our future. They’re kind of a big deal.

I would love to say that when I’m facing a tough time, I pray my way through, relentlessly read my Bible, and find God throughout the whole experience. That would make me sound like the Christian of the century! That would be so cool…

But I don’t. Sure, I pray and read God’s promises over my life, but I don’t spend 25 hours a day doing that.

When I’m facing a tough time, I like to clean. During my divorce, my stove never shined so brightly. Last year, when I was going facing mysterious cysts that were either nothing or would require that I get a colostomy bag, I prioritized the items in my nightstand. Cleaning for me is symbolic, therapeutic and productive. Right now, I am in the middle of re-locating to Texas (Go Stars!!). If I were to list out the things going on in my head, it would be a boring read, so I’ll spare you the details.

As I  currently live in my messy time, I am re-vamping my website. It is getting the love it has so badly needed. I’m launching a NEW product line, rewriting my About Me page, finishing a FREE ebook that outlines what to avoid in hiring your next employees… And so much more. This facelift has kept my mind busy and I am excited to see all of the ideas I have formulating in my head come to life. For me, having a project of any kind keeps me from negative thinking, which comes way too natural for me.

I’d really like to hear from you. How do you handle stressful times in your life? You could be helping someone during their stressful time. Share in the comments section below.

Never Lose Hope,

Jen
